I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.

Oregon isn’t lacking when it comes to incredible scenic overlooks and jaw-dropping vistas. But there’s a place in the southeastern part of the state that doesn’t get as much attention as its east side brethren, and that’s Panorama Point. Located in the gorgeous Jacksonville Woodlands, Panorama Point offers sweeping panoramic views of the Siskyou Mountains, historic downtown Jacksonville, and the Southern Oregon Cascades, including the rim of Crater Lake and Mount McLoughlin. This accessible trek packs quite the panoramic punch, and is a hiking bucket-list must for all Oregonians!
This is the scene that awaits you at the end of the Britt Canyon to Oregon Trail and Panorama Point. But we'll get to that in a bit...
With this trail, the journey is just as gorgeous as the destination. Known to locals simply as the "Britt Trails," the Jacksonville Woodlands features 14 miles of interpretive trails open to both hikers and mountain bikers. But the Britt Canyon to Oregon Trail and Panorama Point is easily the most accessible and popular hike.
Don't forget to stop and take in the beauty found along this trail. From frolicking fawns and fluttering butterflies to verdant green trees and winsome wildflowers, this is an extraordinarily beautiful hike in Oregon.
And then, of course, you'll find Panorama Point. At an elevation of 1,932 feet, you'll be able to see some of Oregon's most dazzling jewels: the Siskyou Mountains, the Southern Oregon Cascades, and, if conditions are right, the rim of Crater Lake and Mount McLoughlin.
Wow — what a view! Have you been to this perfect overlook in the Jacksonville Woodlands before? It’s certainly a hike you’ll want to do again and again. Learn more about this scenic hike in Oregon at AllTrails.
