The Oregon Wine Experience is a long-running event. It began as the World of Wine Festival nearly two decades ago, but it changed its name to The Oregon Wine Experience seven years ago.
Since its inception, this event has raised $10.4 million for the Asante Children's Miracle Network program at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.
This event happens over five days every August. It has been held at several locations throughout the years, but currently, it happens at the beautiful 7-acre Stage Pass Vineyards in Jacksonville.
Vintners from all over Oregon enter their wines in the Oregon Wine Competition where they are judged by experts before the event begins. During The Oregon Wine Experience, medals are awarded to the very best of the bunch.
The Oregon Wine University event will teach participants how to taste wine like a pro and will explain why various factors are important when evaluating wine.
The Miracle Auction & Salmon Bake is one of the most popular events of the week. This event helps to raise money for the Asante Foundation during the live auction portion of the night.
The Grand Tasting takes place on the final night of the event and is the Oregon Wine Experience's largest event. Participants can taste wine from all over the state.
The wine is paired with culinary offerings from featured restaurants, too.
