It might be cold and snowy during winter months, but there’s plenty of ways to get outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in central Oregon. Go skiing or snowshoeing, take a sleigh ride, or go for the ride of a lifetime on a unique adventure. There’s a company at Mt. Bachelor that offers a sled dog ride, and you’re going to love it!
Mt. Bachelor is the perfect place for winter recreation. Skiers love its challenging runs and terrain park, and kids of all ages enjoy the Snowblast tubing hills. There's one activity at this resort that's unique, though.
These hard-working pups are raring to go! Pulling a sled through the snow is what they live for, and they often compete in races, including the Iditarod.
Your dog sled adventure lasts about an hour, including an orientation. The team leaves from the Sunrise Lodge parking lot every day at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m.
Prior to the 15th, the company offers a special deal where you pay a discounted rate in advance for a voucher that can be used anytime during the season. Regular rates start at $200 for one rider, with discounts for additional riders.
Are you ready to go on this sled dog adventure? Visit the Mt Bachelor website to book your trip, and follow the company’s Facebook page so you won’t miss a single event.
