One of our favorite things about fall in Oregon is the apple cider, and cider slushies are particularly tasty. You can find these frosty treats all over the state, but when you visit Oregon Heritage Farms, you’ll definitely want one to pair with your apple cider donuts.
A visit to the 400-acre, family-owned Oregon Heritage Farms will make any autumn complete. Hop in the car and head to the little town of Scholls, near Hillsboro.
If you love apples, this is the place to be! Oregon Heritage Farms grows 12 varieties of apples, and you can visit the little farm store to buy fresh apples in season.
The farm store is open during apple season every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. It typically opens up mid-August and is open to customers through the second Sunday in November.
In addition to plenty of fresh, crisp apples for sale by the pound, you'll find tons of delicious apple-themed treats. Nothing says "fall" like a caramel apple...
The farm makes its own apple cider, and it's incredibly tasty. The cider is flash-pasteurized, and has no preservatives or additives. It tastes just like it should - like an apple in a glass.
We feel like the only possible way to improve on the apple cider here is to turn it into a frosty apple cider slushie, and you can get one during fall months.
Bring the whole family to the farm for a fun, fall experience. Activities include farm animal visits, hay rides, apple tastings, a mini hay maze, and more.
