Our Oregon Donut Trail brings starts in Portland, a place that has come to be known as a foodie destination. Pip's specializes in teeny-tiny, made-to-order craft donuts, and they are absolutely divine. They recently unleashed a mobile van in the city, too, giving the people what they want, late into the night, and all over the streets of Portland. And what they want, of course, are Pip's delightful little pillows of perfection. Please note: Pip's is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so plan your trip accordingly!

Doe Donuts in Portland is groundbreaking in many ways; Doe is a women-owned small business, and it's entirely vegan. And guess what? The donuts here are absolutely, insanely delicious. The eponymous doe! donut is a strawberry milk, sprinkle-topped treat, and the french toast donut somehow combines two breakfast favorites into one super donut. Oh, and they make the most scrumptious, small-batch ice cream, too.

In terms of charm factor, Joe's wins. Located in quaint Sandy, Joe's Donuts is a favorite stop along the way to Mt. Hood -- but don't get us wrong, it's a destination in and of itself. Everything about this place is the best, from its red-and-white building, to its face-sized frosted donuts.

Our Oregon Donut Trail ends, ironically, where it all began: the original Portland donut shop, Voodoo Doughnut in Old Town. Once Voodoo opened its doors in 2003, nothing was ever the same again. This off-the-wall bakery turned Oregon into a breakfast food legend, drawing lines out the door for, among other things, their iconic Bacon Maple Bar. Get one, or a dozen—we won't judge.
