I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Crater Lake is a place of superlatives. It’s Oregon’s one-and-only national park. It’s the deepest, purest body of water in the country. It’s home to the best stargazing in Oregon. And it’s also the site of the only zipline located on national forest land. That’s right – Crater Lake Zipline is the only one of its kind in the country, and it’s most definitely an adventure for your Oregon bucket list.
If you're the kind of person who looks out at this beautiful expanse and thinks "Challenge accepted," then we have just the adventure for you.
Located an hour south of Crater Lake National Park on national forest land, Crater Lake Zipline is a tree-to-tree zipline canopy adventure that belongs on your Oregon bucket list.
With the help of an experienced guide, you'll navigate nearly a mile and a half of zipline, traveling Tarzan-style through the Fremont Winema National Forest.
While the headlining zip tour is open to adventurers aged 10 and up and 70-250 pounds, the smaller, "Sasquatch Hollow Kid’s ZipLine Adventure" is one kids as young as five can tackle!
There's even a "shyak" option that combines ziplining *and* kayaking, for the ultimate Oregon biathlon! Please note, this adventure park is open seasonally, March through December.
When you visit Crater Lake National Park, you expect an amazing, bucket-list experience. But what you don't expect is that these adventures extend beyond the park, too, into the treetops and the skies!
Have you gone for a ride on this epic zipline before? Did you know the national forest was home to this high-flying adventure? Visit the Crater Lake Zipline website to learn more and plan your excursion.
