I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
The restaurant industry has been hit hard by current events, forcing many to roll up their sleeves, get creative, and reimagine (or reinvent) their concepts. Some restaurants transitioned to take-out only; others expanded their outdoor dining venues; some took their businesses on wheels. Oma’s Takeaway opened as a takeout pop-up in PDX in 2020 — and people couldn’t get enough. So in 2021, Oma’s Takeaway was reborn as Oma’s Hideaway, a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Portland, Oregon. This new restaurant has been getting a ton of buzz for its inventive cuisine, which is best described as “quirky fusion fare.”
In the summer of 2021, PDX welcomed Oma's Hideaway to its vibrant culinary community. You'll find this snazzy turquoise green restaurant at 3131 SE Division Street, Portland, OR, 97202.
This is next-level fusion fare: Oma's menu draws inspiration all over the world, from China and Malaysia to Indonesia and even old-school American diner food.
Have you visited Oma’s Hideaway in Portland yet? This PDX eatery definitely needs to be on your dining bucket list! Learn more and peruse the menu at the Oma’s Hideaway website.
