I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Sometimes, you just want to enjoy some good, old-fashioned fun. Whether that means going old school and making it a Blockbuster night, or ordering a burger and shake from your favorite classic diner, Oregon has lots of unique little spots that are a total blast from the past. But there’s nowhere quite like Oaks Park Roller Rink. Lace up your skates, grab your friends, and go retro at this delightful little roller rink in Portland, Oregon.
Does this bring back memories of Junior High skate parties? Well, get ready to relive those good, old days when you visit Oaks Park Roller Rink!
This superlative superstar is known far and wide as one of the best roller rinks in the country, in fact. Oaks Park Roller Rink opened in May of 1905, and is the oldest roller rink in the U.S.
Admission is $10 per skater, and includes conventional skate rental. Only a select number of tickets are available for each skate session, so you'll want to reserve your tickets ahead of time.
We promise - this is the most fun you'll have in years!
When was the last time you went roller skating? This is a totally fun way to spend an afternoon, we say! Visit the Oaks Park Roller Rink website for open skate hours, prices, and more.
