If you’re headed down Oregon Route 58 between Eugene and somewhere, or between somewhere and Eugene, you’d be doing yourself a tremendous disservice if you didn’t stop at Stewart’s 58 Drive-In Restaurant in Oakridge. In fact, skipping this place when driving that way ought to be illegal, because this small, wonderful, historic, welcoming restaurant is fantastic in every way, and travelers along this route have been enjoying its offerings since 1950. This iconic roadside restaurant in Oregon is one you’ll not only love, but that you’ll always remember. Read on to learn more.
Way back in 1950, George and Irene Thatcher built this burger joint. They called it The Big Top. It continued to serve hungry travelers under a variety of names until the current owners, Gregg & Shannon Stewart, bought it in 2014 and named it Stewart's 58 Drive-In.
This place has been a gem the entire time it's been feeding hungry folks. Today, it's better than ever, and you should stop on in. If you're headed out on a road trip, it's a great spot to stop for lunch.
Perhaps you'd like to start with this spiced butternut squash soup. If you're looking for something soupy but a bit more hearty, try the beef and bean chili - it's excellent.

Have a salad while here or pick up one for the road! Everything is made fresh and is made to order.
Choose from a classic burger, a classic cheese burger, the 58 Burger with bacon and BBQ sauce, a bacon cheese burger, a chipotle bacon cheeseburger, a mushroom and Swiss burger, a black & blue burger, or a chili cheddar burger! Wow!
The sides at this spot are also always cooked perfectly. The fries, the onion rings, the chicken strips, and the chili cheese fries are all super tasty.
You might even find a fantastic dessert special like this ice cream sandwich with Tillamook Vanilla Bean ice cream and fresh baked chocolate-chocolate chip cookies! Yum!
Stewart’s 58 Drive-In Restaurant is a wonderful place to stop and enjoy meal. It’s an Oregon icon and it’s easy to see why. Be sure to plan some extra time to dine there on your next road trip. You’ll be glad that you did!
