Oregon is well-known for its immense beauty, from its majestic coastline to pristine alpine lakes. But if you live here you might forget to act like a tourist and visit all the cool sights, attractions, and hidden gems our state has to offer. As an almost lifelong Oregonian (I moved here as a kid), I still have a long bucket list of places I want to explore — either for the first time or again.
If you also want to take advantage of Oregon’s great tourist attractions, check out our list of the 10 best places to visit in Oregon.
1. Pittock Mansion, Portland
Pittock Mansion, 3229 NW Pittock Dr, Portland, OR 97210, USA
Historic Pittock Mansion is the former home of Henry Pittock, who was a prominent Portlander and an early owner of The Oregonian. Not only is the 1914 home gorgeous but so are the breathtaking views of the city from its grounds.
Drive through this fabulous wildlife park and zoo in Winston, Oregon, to see a huge range of animals including bears, giraffes, camels, cheetahs, red pandas, elephants, and more!
Pendleton is a wonderful Western town that's great to visit any time of year. However, we recommend you visit in time to see the annual Pendleton Round-Up.
We’d love to know how you enjoyed your trip to any of these attractions, so please leave a comment. Also, feel free to share your favorite tourist spots in Oregon, too. We would love to hear from you.
