The annual United Van Lines migration study ranked Oregon as the top state in the West, and second-most in the nation behind Vermont.

The Beaver State has consistently ranked in the Top 3 for the past five years, placing first in 2015, 2014, and 2013.

The biggest age group moving to Oregon was age 65 and up, and the majority of newcomers were earning $150,000 or more.

Vermont beat us with 68 percent, and Idaho came in third with 63 percent. The top state people moved out of was Illinois, which had a total of 37 percent inbound moves.
