Photographers capture some gorgeous shots all over the Beaver State. You’ll see stunning vistas of the Columbia River Gorge, jaw-dropping pics of the waterfalls along the Trail of Ten Waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park, and of course, Haystack Rock is an iconic shot every photographer hopes to add to her collection.
According to the Oregon Coast Visitors Association, the town of Manzanita has some of the most photographed scenery in all of Oregon, so grab your camera, and head to this charming town on the coast.
The town of Manzanita is tiny, with fewer than 1,000 residents, but what it lacks in population, it certainly makes up for in beauty. Manzanita, along with the villages of Nehalem and Wheeler, are surrounded by stunning scenery.
Oswald West State Park is one of Oregon's most gorgeous state parks, and though it's only offered for day use, there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. This park and Nehalem Bay State Park bookend the three villages to create a swath of scenic splendor along the coast.
Whether you've got a fancy camera, or just a cell phone, you'll want to spend several days at Oswald West, snapping photos of every square inch of this place.
The iconic beauty of forested mountains meeting water is pretty typical here, but don't take it for granted. Once you leave and head inland, you'll be wistful for views like this.
Before you leave, capture one last sunset. When you get home, get out your calendar and plan your next visit...because you're going to be so smitten with this little slice of the coast that you'll want to come back again and again.
