I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There’s something that’s just inherently charming about an old, covered bridge. Hand-built and often featuring intricate designs, covered bridges are quite exquisite works of architectural art. Covered bridges are a beautiful reminder of a bygone era, but are becoming increasingly harder to find. Between 1905-1925, there were an estimated 600 covered bridges built in Oregon. Today, only 50 of these historic structures remain. But my, are they beautiful. As is the case with the Yachats Covered Bridge, which we believe to be the most charming covered bridge in the PNW!
Have you visited this covered bridge in Oregon before? If you haven’t, you’ll definitely want to put it on your list the next time you’re in Yachats, which, by the way, is an absolute gem of a town on the Oregon Coast!
