Mohawk Restaurant & Lounge opened in 1984. It's located at 136726 US-97, Crescent, OR 97733. This little restaurant looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but wait til you see what's inside...
There's an incredible collection of taxidermy animals here, from locations all over the world. You'll see everything from local deer, elk and antelope to an alligator, a Mexican iguana, and the pelt of a zebra.
Golden eagles and geese fly overhead, a huge trophy fish jumps over the fireplace, and a lobster crawls on the wall. This is definitely not your typical restaurant!
One part of the collection that's both fascinating and sad is the 20 tiny fawns. These fawns were the unborn babies of deer who were killed on the highway while pregnant.
More than 1,500 collector bottles line the walls of the dining room. You'll want to spend some time checking these out - the owner has been collecting them since the 1950s.
