One of the best things about spring is all the adorable baby animals. Visit any farm and you’ll find sweet little calves, fluffy bunnies and chicks, and playful little lambs. Leaping Lamb Farm in Alsea is open for tours this spring, and you’re going to want to stay all weekend long.
Leaping Lamb Farm is an Oregon institution. Originally known as Honey Grove Farm, it was founded in 1896, and has been producing hay, corn, fruits and vegetables, chickens, and sheep ever since.
This farm is rural heaven. While it's just 25 miles from Corvallis, once you turn onto Honey Grove Road, you'll drive for two miles without seeing another soul. This place is truly a special retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The farm is open for its spring tours from April 26th through the end of May, and you're definitely going to want to plan a visit. There are all kinds of adorable farm animals just waiting to say hello.
The little lambs aren't the only draw to this farm - there are many other animals to meet here. You'll see horses and donkeys, peacocks, dogs, cats, geese...
You're certain to fall in love with this farm, and you might never want to leave. While you probably can't live here forever, you can stay for a night or two.
The farm offers a quaint cottage with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a cozy family room, or you can stay in one of five bedrooms in the 1895 farm house.
