Saburo in Sellwood might not look like much from the outside but this hidden gem in Oregon typically has a line going around the block. And for good reason. This best hole-in-the-wall sushi house has two cute, railroad-style dining rooms, a counter where you can watch the cooks work their magic, and HUGE portions of fresh sushi and other Japanese food.

In fact, the dishes are so big that it’s almost impossible not to end up leaving with leftovers — and that’s a very good thing! Or you can do what we do and plan on sharing.

Locals know that Saburo's is the best hole-in-the-wall sushi house in Oregon. You might have to wait but you'll be rewarded with huge portions and superb flavor.
