I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
If you’re looking for an Oregon getaway that’s charming, historic, and inexpensive, we have just the place for you. The historic Cedarwood Cabin is a delightful little accomodation located in Mount Hood, Oregon, and it’s about as picture-perfect as it gets. Hand-built in 1922, this secluded cabin makes for a wonderful escape in Oregon; and with rates starting at just $100/night, it’s as affordable as it is adorable!
If you're looking for the ultimate hygee experience in Oregon, you'll find it here, at the historic Cedarwood Cabin.
The cabin is actually part of a historic neighborhood of cabins that dates back to the 1920s. There are still a few of the original cabins standing, and this small area is known as “cabin row.” There are four historic cabins in this pocket of woods near the Salmon River -- but we promise, the entire experience feels very private and secluded.
Newly renovated, the bathroom features a charming subway tile shower with a rainfall shower fixture, as well as a twist-timer wall heater to keep you warm after a long, hot shower.
Of course, you won't want to spend all your time indoors at this historic cabin; the property is located Mount Hood, one of the best places for outdoor recreation and adventure in the PNW!
This cabin offers guests the unique opportunity to relax and recharge in one of Oregon's most beautiful areas; and at just $100/night (plus rental fees), it's surprisingly affordable and accessible.
