There’s a bakery in Salem that creates the most decadent cakes we’ve ever tried, and you can stop by for a slice, or take home a whole cake.
When your sweet tooth is begging for a slice of cake, head to Gerry Frank’s Konditorei in Salem, Oregon.
The word "konditorei" is the German word for cake shop, and this bakery specializes in decadent cakes of all flavors. Address: 310 Kearney Street SE, Salem, OR 97302
This family-owned bakery got its start in 1982, and it's been creating delicious cakes ever since.
Gerry Frank and Barney Rogers were the original owners; when Gerry retired at age 94, he sold the shop to his long-time manager Linae Sielicky and Mike and Valerie Schultz of Lovin' Oven, where the cakes are baked.
