When you walk inside the big red doors of the Freakybuttrue Peculiarium in Portland, you might feel as though you’ve walked into a mind-boggling alternate reality. This unique oddities museum/art gallery/candy shop is full of unusual ephemera, creepy statues, interactive displays, and more. You won’t soon forget a trip to this bizarre, one of a kind place in Oregon.
Located in Portland, the Freakybuttrue Peculiarium is an exuberantly strange museum that will bring out your inner weirdo.
Inside, you'll find all kinds of unusual artifacts, memorabilia, art, candy, books, DVDs, and more.

Since 1972, the Peculiarium has been a Portland hotspot for all things odd. We're talking bigfoot, aliens, monsters, sci-fi, bug candy, and more.
In 2012, it was the staff pick for the Oregonian's "Best Offbeat Museum".
The Peculiarium is open from Tuesdays-Sundays, 11am-6pm. Due to nudity and some graphic content, it's recommended that visitors should be age 12 or older.
