Did you know that the city of Albany has its very own volcano? The Foam Volcano Home is a unique dwelling constructed of expanded polyurethane foam and formed to look like a volcano covered with hardened lava. While it’s not going to explode anytime soon, this one-of-a-kind home belongs on every Oregonian’s bucket list. Check it out:
Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Albany, Oregon, the Foam Volcano House is an incredible sight to behold.
Constructed of expanded polyurethane foam that has been formed to look like a volcano covered with hardened lava, this unique home is like something out of an episode of "The Flintstones."
The foam-augmented dwelling belongs to the owner of local business Sprayfoam Inc., Steve Fletcher.
Features include a roof shaped like a mountain volcano, a cascading 15-foot waterfall and a 30-foot-long pool that is home to nearly 200 huge fish. There are trout, carp, bass and even sturgeon.
The foam home is one of Fletcher's creative foam masterpieces around town. He has built boats, motorcycle covers, a dog bed and much more out of foam.
A visit to this one-of-a-kind structure in Oregon promises to be a delight experience for the young and the young at heart.
