Oregon is a world-class wine region that's home to upwards of 700 wineries and 1,000 vineyards. Tualatin Valley sits in the northwestern corner of Willamette Valley and is well-known for its abundance of wineries and vineyards. This is Furioso Vineyards, which produces premier Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Rosé wines.
There are numerous wineries in the Tualatin Valley region, and they're all absolutely wonderful. If you're up for a detour, Yamhill Valley Vineyards is a winsome, 150-acre vineyard that's the oldest in the McMinnville area.

Between the wineries, orchards, and beautiful natural areas, there's a lot to *do* along this fall foliage road trip, but you can also opt to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Since Oregon is a treasure chest full of natural wonders, it isn't hard to find great places to enjoy the fall foliage. Here are a few of the state parks and gardens that make great places to see fall colors in Oregon:

  • Silver Falls State Park: Rounding the bend in a forest trail and discovering the beautiful Silver Falls is made even more incredible when you are surrounded by a golden-orange blanket of fall colors. Silver Falls State Park is located near Silverton, OR, and is Oregon's largest state park. Its many miles of hiking trails, horseback riding trails, and biking trails offer us one of the best places to enjoy fall colors in the state.
  • Wallowa Lake State Park: Wallowa, Oregon is a picture-perfect landscape of natural beauty in the Whitman National Forest. When fall wildflowers bloom against the changing leaves and mountain peaks bathed in a golden sunset, it is a magical place — especially when Wallowa Lake is quiet and still and the surrounding landscape is reflected perfectly in its clear waters.
  • Oswald West State Park: Arch Cape, Oregon is hiding this beautiful gem and it is one of our favorite parks to explore in the fall. Hike to Cape Falcon and catch a glimpse of Smuggler's Cove and Short Sand Beach, which are set against the vast ocean.
  • Portland Japanese Garden: The Japanese Garden in Portland is a pretty zen place to begin with but in the fall, it takes on a whole new aura. It is one of the most magical places to enjoy fall colors. When the huge spidery maple tree bursts with color, it will take your breath away.
