This floral fete is totally worthy of your perennial festival bucket list. Let’s take a trip to lovely Florence, Oregon, for the one-and-only Rhododendron Festival.

What are the most scenic towns in Oregon?

Spring in Oregon is a great time to explore some of the most scenic towns in Oregon:

Astoria: You might recognize this northern Oregon town for its connection to the 1985 movie Goonies. But there is much to do here, such as admiring Victorian homes or heading outside and taking in the recreation at the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. Or head straight to the ocean.

Brownsville: This Linn County town was established in 1846 and many of its features, such as the downtown, hearken back to that period. You can also head to the 26-acre Pioneer Park for outdoor fun.

What are the best state parks in Oregon?

One of my favorite things to do in Oregon in the spring? Head out to some of the best state parks in Oregon:

Silver Falls State Park: Located in Marion County, at 9,200 acres, this is the largest state park in Oregon. Among its many trails, the star is the 7.2-mile Trail of 10 Falls. You can also horseback ride and bike here.

The Cove Palisades State Park: This 4,400-acre park is located in Culver. Explore the beautiful Lake Billy Chinook by boat or kayak. You can also fish, camp, and hike here.

What are the best waterfalls in Oregon?

Aside from spring festivals in Oregon, there are many other things to do when the weather begins to warm up. Check out these waterfalls in Oregon:

Latourell Falls: Head to Guy W. Talbot State Park in Corbett to see both the lower and upper falls. You can view it from the bottom without too much energy used or you can take the 2.6-mile loop trail to the upper falls.

Tumalo Falls: Similar to Latourell Falls, you can view this 97-foot-high waterfall easily from below or take a seven-mile hike to a better viewpoint. You’ll find the waterfall in Deschutes National Forest but take note that the road out to it is dirt and closed during the winter.
