One of our favorite things about the holiday season is all the twinkling lights that make our most beautiful places even more enchanting. Shore Acres State Park is a pretty place year-round, but at Christmastime, it turns into a wonderland. Check it out:
Shore Acres State Park is crown jewel in the Oregon state park system. Its beautiful gardens beckon guests year round. But during the holiday season...
Wander through the acres of formal gardens to see all kinds of pretty lights and displays. The tradition of Christmas lights at the park started in 1987 with just 6,000 lights, and has gotten bigger every year.
In 2018, more than 67,000 visitors enjoyed the holiday lights at the park. They hailed from 44 states across the nation, and 35 other countries and provinces.
Make sure to pop into the gift shop during your visit. It's full of wonderful gift ideas for your family and friends, and your purchases help support the park.
The lights go on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 2019 at 4 p.m., and they'll light up the park every evening from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through December 31st.
