When the weather’s hot, a water park is the place to be. Oregon has some great spots to cool off, but there’s one in particular that blends natural beauty with man-made fun. Check out Emigrant Lake’s waterslide:
Emigrant Lake Recreation Area is the perfect place for some warm weather entertainment. You'll find it in Ashland, in the southern part of the state.
...and when it's time to cool off, you can jump right in. There's a designated swimming cove area, as well as several other spots on the shoreline that are great for wading, swimming, and floating.
Climb the stairs to the top, then zip through the twists and turns all the way to the bottom. Everyone in the family will want to ride the slides over and over again.
Plunge into the pool below to get completely soaked. A lifeguard is on duty to keep an eye on the kids, but little ones who aren't strong swimmers should wear life jackets.
The best thing about these lakeside waterslides? They're super affordable! Get a 1.5 hour wristband for just $6 on weekdays and $7 on weekends. Or, slide for 3 hours for $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends.
Don't want the fun to end? Stay overnight in one of the campgrounds. Point RV Park has 32 hookup sites. Oak Slope Campground has 40 rustic sites without hookups that are perfect for tents or small trailers.
