I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Everyone talks about a dinner with a view, but why reserve the views for just your meal? In Oregon, we are surrounded by immense natural beauty, so you can turn your dinner into an entire scenic experience. Take Eastwind Drive-In, for example, a delicious little eatery located in one of the most breathtakingly beautiful regions of Oregon. To get to this delicious spot, you’ll first embark on a scenic drive along the Columbia River, for an enchanting pre- and post-meal experience that simply can’t be beat.
A classic roadside burger shack that’s been around since 1939, Eastwind Drive-In is an under-the-radar favorite located along the Columbia River in Cascade Locks, Oregon.
This unassuming little shake shack dishes up epic burgers, thick milkshakes, and face-sized soft serve cones, for the ultimate greasy spoon experience!
What makes this restaurant even more noteworthy, however, is its location. This old-school diner is located on the main street of Cascade Locks, along the incomparable Columbia River. It's a stone's throw from Marine Park and Port of Cascade Locks Park, and offers guests sweeping mountain, forest, and river views while they eat.
