A walk across the Drift Creek Falls Suspension Bridge promises to be equal parts thrilling and terrifying. This incredible suspended bridge is located in the Suislaw National Forest near Lincoln City. While the heights and wobbling may make your stomach drop, you’ll be rewarded with some of the most breathtaking waterfall views in Oregon if you’re brave enough to make it across.
You journey begins at the Drift Creek Falls trailhead in the Suislaw National Forest. The suspension bridge is easily accessible from the start of the trail.
To reach the bridge, you'll follow a 1.7-mile lush forest trail. The gentle path is well-maintained and easy to navigate.
Eventually, you'll come to the suspension bridge.
Be warned: this bridge is not for the faint of heart. It is perched 100 feet up in the air and will wobble from side to side as you make the crossing.
Your heart will pound as you cross, looking down at the forested canyon and powerful waterfall below.
If you're brave enough to cross the suspended bridge, you'll be treated to a superb view of Drift Creek Falls. You can even make your way down to the bottom of the falls for a fantastic finale to your hike.
