I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There’s no shortage of amazing waterfalls here in Oregon. Go for a hike, and you’re likely to stumble upon a well-known waterfall or small, seasonal treasure. Columbia River Gorge, for example, is home to 90 waterfalls — and that’s on the Oregon side alone! Deschutes National Forest is another waterfall treasure trove, and that’s where you’ll find a two-mile trail that leads to a double waterfall *and* a scenic overlook, not to mention one of the best-known falls in the state.
Located within the stunning Deschutes National Forest, the Tumalo Falls Day Use Area is home to several stunning waterfalls and scenic trails.
As its name suggests, Double Falls is a delightful double waterfall found along the trail. It drops 30 feet and then 20 feet, with about a mile in between. You'll be dazzled by this sublime natural spectacle!
And trust us—you'll most definitely want to make time for all these winsome little waterfalls!
