Way out in Oregon’s Outback is a little steakhouse called Cowboy Dinner Tree. This famous restaurant is known for its cowboy history and amazing down-home cooking. It may be located in the middle of nowhere, but we promise that a meal here is worth the drive. Take a look:
Located out in Silverlake, Cowboy Dinner Tree is a delicious steakhouse serving up a taste of the real Wild West.
Back in the day, this steakhouse used to mark the halfway point for ranchers from Paisley, Summer Lake, and Silver Lake who were pushing their cattle through the Sycan Trail.
A chuck wagon would be waiting to serve up some tasty buckaroo beans and biscuits.
Today, the Dinner Tree is still cooking authentic cowboy grub in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that will make you feel like you're in the Old West.
Upon entering, prepare to be greeted by the delicious smells of down-home cooking.
The menu at Cowboy Dinner Tree is simple. Choose between the incredible 26 - 30 oz. top sirloin steak...
... or, go for the heavenly whole roasted chicken. Either way, you'll want to come hungry.
Both options come with wonderful old-fashioned yeast sweet rolls...
... and hearty bean stew. The portions are famously huge, so wear loose pants!
If you do manage to squeeze in dessert, your sweet tooth will not be disappointed.
For a truly memorable meal, give Cowboy Dinner Tree a try. Just make sure to call for a reservation ahead of time! This place may be in the middle of nowhere but it is super popular.
Cowboy Dinner Tree is located at 50836 E Bay Rd., Silver Lake, OR 97638.
