You might remember playing in old-school video arcades as a kid. Back in those days, you saved your allowance and brought fistfuls of quarters so you could spend a whole afternoon with Pac-Man and Asteroids. Now that you’re an adult, you have access to a lot more quarters, and The Coin Jam in Salem is full of retro games that will take you right back in time.
Step back in time to your childhood when you visit The Coin Jam in Salem. This place opened in 2013, but it has a definite 1980s vibe.
One big difference between the arcade of your youth and The Coin Jam is that this place is only for game lovers who are 21 and older. It has plenty of beer on tap, as well as a small selection of wine and other adult beverages.
The mac and cheese gets especially high marks. It's a delectable dish with diced bacon, aged cheddar, and minced garlic. It's topped with bread crumbs, then oven baked to create the perfect comfort food.
Visit The Coin Jam seven days a week, from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Whether you come to play by yourself, or bring all your friends to participate in a tournament, you'll love this arcade bar.
Have you visited The Coin Jam? We’d love to hear from you in the comments! You can also learn more about the arcade and see its full menu on its website, and you’ll certainly want to follow the arcade’s Facebook page to see what games are new there this week.
