Calling all adventure lovers! Have you explored any of Oregon’s caves? The Beaver State is home to plenty of amazing cave adventures, including several lava tube hikes and the largest sea cave in the country. The whole family will enjoy the following seven cave adventures.
Nestled deep within the Siskiyou Mountains in Southern Oregon, the Oregon Caves are a series of dark and twisting passages begging to be explored. This geologic marvel is known as the Marble Halls of Oregon - for good reason! Guided tours are available April through November. The Oregon Caves are located at 19000 Caves Hwy., Cave Junction, OR 97523.
Central Oregon is also filled with caves ripe for adventure. The Skylight Cave is a picturesque hidden gem known for its three natural skylights, which create mesmerizing light beams shining down into the cave. As the largest sea cave in the United States, Sea Lion Cave is a wondrous place to explore. The sight of the sea lions lounging in the cave is pure delight. The caves are located at 91560 US-101, Florence, OR 97439.

The Redmond Caves are a group of natural volcanic caves near Redmond and are a great destination for families. You can take a self-guided tour around the area - just remember to bring a flashlight! The caves are located at SE Airport Way, Redmond, OR 97756.
At 1,200 feet long, Derrick Cave is believed to be the third longest lava tube cave in Oregon. This cave is so hidden that at one point it was designated as a nuclear fallout shelter and stocked with supplies of food and water in the 1960s. Today, it is ripe for exploring. It is located just northeast of Fort Rock Cave.
