Oregon’s independent bookstores are some of our favorite places to spend an afternoon. There’s a cozy little bookstore on the coast that also has a delicious restaurant, so after browsing you can take you new book, order a meal, and dig into both right there.
Welcome to Canyon Way Restaurant & Bookstore! This little shop opened up back in 1971, and it's been serving locals and visitors some of the latest reads and tastiest food ever since.
You'll find just about every genre of fiction and non-fiction here, from history to biographies to children's books. The staff is made up of people who love books as much as you do, so if you need a recommendation, just ask!
The bookshop also has a large selection of cards and gifts. If you're looking for something special for a friend, or are visiting the coast and hoping to find a special souvenir, you're certain to find several items that you'll want to take home.
The French onion soup here is legendary, and a favorite with locals. The recipes here were developed many decades ago, and have consistently won the admiration of food critics and patrons alike.
