Can you imagine anything better than snuggling up with a soft, sweet bunny? There’s a wonderful non-profit right here in Portland, Oregon that allows you to do just that. Check out Bunnies In Baskets:
Welcome to Bunnies In Baskets! You'll find this non-profit organization at 201 N. Alberta Street, in Portland. Founded in October, 2009, it provides animal assisted therapy and activities in the community.
This is Samuel, and he's one of about 20 bunnies who call this place home. Many of the bunnies here are rescues who have proven particularly suitable for therapy.
The bunnies travel to nursing homes and schools to provide lots of love and snuggles to everyone. These bunnies are particularly snuggly, and they're happy to hang out in your lap for awhile.
You can visit Bunnies In Baskets to snuggle to your heart's content. Hop on in to say hello! Watch for specific hours and event, and purchase a ticket, which you can get online. Everyone is welcome, from kids to seniors!
Bunny Hoppy Hour is hosted once a week, and Sunday Bunny Tea occurs once a month. It includes tea and snacks, a short presentation and tour, and plenty of bunny snuggling. You can also pop in to snuggle the bunnies every Saturday.
Bunnies In Baskets is not a rescue. If you'd like to adopt a bunny, or need to find a new home for your bunny, contact the Oregon Humane Society, or organizations like Rabbit Advocates or Kuddles and Scales.
Book your Bunnies In Baskets Hoppy Hour though Airbnb experiences here. You’ll also want to visit the organization’s website and Facebook page to learn more about what they do there, sign up to volunteer, or make a donation.
