We’ve discovered some really special spots all over Oregon that will serve your picnicking needs – whether you’re looking for absolute seclusion, relaxation, popular city parks, or more adventurous surroundings.
Why not take your picnic to an Oregon winery? Pick up a bottle of Rioja-inspired wine from Abacela in Roseburg and pack a spread of cheeses and fruits that pair well with it. Then enjoy a self-guided tour of the vineyards.
Just west of Clastskanie, sits a very private picnicking area, where you can take in the view of the Columbia River Gorge.

Plenty of picnic benches can be found at this spot, which also provides a great access point to a bridge, which takes you to amazing vistas of the water.
After you've canoed across this lake, have a picnic at the campground, found on the west shore. It's an interesting mix of outdoorsy, smack in the middle of the city.

Picnic in an ancient rain forest? Why not?
