The Abandoned UFO Boat On Oregon's Collins Beach Is A Graffiti Masterpiece
Oregon’s Sauvie Island is a great place for a day trip. Whether you’re taking a hike, doing some bird-watching, or visiting one of its beaches, there’s plenty to see and do on this 24,000-acre island. During your visit, you might want to find the abandoned UFO boat near Collins Beach. It’s a weird shipwrecked boat that looks like a spaceship and is covered in graffiti.

This odd boat was built in 1972 by Richard Ensign, who was convinced that the planet was going to hell in a handbasket. His plan was to construct a boat he could live in if the apocalypse happened.

We advise that you stay outside the UFO boat and enjoy the colorful graffiti and many photo opportunities, instead. Imagine sailing down the Columbia River in this crazy-looking vessel during the pandemic!
Make sure to continue on the path to see this hidden lighthouse, too.
Have you seen the UFO Boat on Collins Beach? We’d love to see your photos of this odd masterpiece!
