People love visiting Oregon because of our state’s diverse landscape and unique culture. One of the best ways to experience the unique culture of Oregon is by taking a ride on the Astoria Riverfront Trolley. This turn of the century trolley will take riders on a waterfront experience like no other. Discover the beauty and the history of Astoria, Oregon when you climb aboard.
Climb aboard the Astoria Riverfront Trolley for a one-hour, narrated round-trip ride through Astoria, Oregon. The charming No. 300 streetcar has been delighting locals and visitors of Astoria since 1999.
Riders are greeted by knowledgeable, volunteer conductors who love telling visitors about the history of Astoria and the trolley. Conductors and Motormen are the perfect people to ask for local recommendations. Think of them as official ambassadors of Astoria.
Although the street car is not original to this town, its impact is evident. The street car once served passengers in San Antonio, Texas; now approximately 40,000 riders climb aboard here in Astoria every year. People love the historic charm of the riverfront trolley.
People also love the wonderful waterfront views you can get from the trolley seats. The trolley follows three miles of railroad tracks along the river and into downtown Astoria.
Part of the trolley's charm is in the details inside the cabin. From the original signage to the original lighting, stepping on the trolley is like taking a 100 year step back in time.
Riders can hop on at any of the 9 stops along the route or you can always flag down the trolley by waving a $1 bill. The fare is $1 per boarding or $2 for an all day ride. It's truly a fun, affordable, and educational way to get around town!
With spring just around the corner, it's just about time for the trolley to get back on the tracks. Peak season is between Memorial and Labor Day when the trolley runs daily from noon until 6 PM. If you find yourself in Astoria, it's a trip you won't want to miss!
