There are plenty of places to stay and unwind in the Sooner State, but nothing beats the personal touches and charm of a bed and breakfast. The next time you’re searching for a laid-back getaway with a boujee flare, we’ve got you covered. The Funky Monkey Inn on Grand Lake is a movie-themed bed and breakfast that you’ll absolutely love. Keep scrolling to learn more about this small B&B in Oklahoma.
The Funky Monkey Inn is located in the tiny town of Afton on Grand Lake in northeastern Oklahoma. It's right down the street from Shangri La Resort & Golf Course. There's a lovely wrap-around porch, perfect for enjoying your morning cup of coffee.
The home sits behind a guarded gate on a beautiful piece of land, just a short walk from the lake. The interior is beautifully decorated and themed after movies and television shows.
The B&B has six different rooms, all with a different movie or TV show theme. The "Law & Order" room boasts a sophisticated look with a cozy queen bed.
The "Easy Rider" Room is a biker-themed room and comes with access to a bathroom across the hall. It is located in the front of the house so if you need multiple rooms, book the "Pretty Woman" and "The Geisha" rooms too. It is the only room that does not have an en suite bathroom but it's the most affordable.

The Grand Lake area is not only filled with water activities, but it’s also home to many charming shopping places. These shops are excellent places to poke around on a “girl’s weekend,” and in the winter, you will find some of the best Christmas shopping in the state.
