When you’re looking for a pretty town with a historic restaurant that serves delicious comfort food, where do you go? We have a particular fondness for the little town of Medicine Park. Tucked up against the Wichita Mountains, the town is super charming, and it’s home to an iconic restaurant that’s been serving comfort food for decades.
The Old Plantation Restaurant is located in a building built back in 1910, and over the years it's served many different purposes for the community. In 1966, it became a restaurant known for its delicious homemade rolls and comfort food.
You'll find this little gem at 143 East Lake Drive, Medicine Park, OK 73557.
Step inside this restaurant, and step right back in time. Though it's been remodeled, it still retains much of its old-fashioned charm. The dining room is large and spacious, so you'll find plenty of seating for any size party.
Then, settle in for a delicious dinner. You'll find six different hand-cut steaks on the menu, ranging from the hearty 22-ounce sirloin that covers the plate, to the more petite 8-ounce filet.
Everything on the menu here is served in large portions, and it's all delicious. This traditional Southern food will please your palate while satisfying your appetite.
It would be a shame to miss dessert, especially with tasty treats on the menu like chocolate spoon cake, or the skookie - a warm chocolate chip cookie served right in the skillet it was baked in, then topped with vanilla ice cream.
