If I had to recommend one town to visit this summer in Oklahoma, hands down it would be Broken Bow. It’s located in southern Oklahoma in the middle of scenic mountains, it has great weather, and it’s loaded with outdoor recreation. Honestly, I think it’s the most beautiful place in the state and everyone should experience its beauty.
Broken Bow and the nearby town of Hochatown are nestled in southeast Oklahoma near the foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains – a sub-range of the breathtaking Ouachita Mountains. The two towns are so close to each other, it's hard to tell when you leave one and enter the other.
Broken Bow is a gateway city to Beavers Bend Resort Park and Hochatown State Park. The town lies within McCurtain County and has a population of just over 4,000 residents.
