Johnson's Stepping Stone Cafe Is So Affordable, You'll Want One Of Everything On The Menu

This little cafe not only serves up tasty, made from scratch meals, but the prices are so affordable that you’re going to want to order one of everything on the menu. Johnson's Stepping Stone Cafe is located at 4 North Armstrong Street in Downtown Bixby. They opened in May 2013 and are now a go-to dining spot in northeast Oklahoma.

The restaurant is usually filled with people. It's on the smaller side with only 6 tables, 6 booths, and 4 counter stools.

You'll find that the menu is filled with many options, including two daily specials. Thursdays is all-you-can-eat fried catfish and people drive from all over to eat it. It's freshly made in house and so affordable at only $11.

The chicken fried dinner is only $7.99 and comes with a large size steak, fries or mashed potatoes, vegetable of the day, and a homemade roll. Then it's topped with white creamy gravy and it's the best thing ever.

On top of daily specials, they also run weekly specials that include the chicken fried sandwich.

Patrons rave about the Indian Taco Special on Wednesday for only $6.89. It's starts with fry bread then layered with taco meat, beans, lettuce, tomato, onions, and sour cream.

Almost everything on the menu is under $8 and a bowl of beef stew is less than $4. Johnson's Stepping Stone Cafe is truly a hidden gem you'll want to put on your 2019 bucket list.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Closed on Sunday & Monday.
