It’s easy to find excellent restaurants in Oklahoma’s larger cities, but some of the most charming spots are in the Sooner State’s small towns. Here’s a restaurant located in a charming farmhouse in Talihina that you must try.
The little community of Talihina has just 1,100 or so residents and a whole lot of beautiful farmland.
For one of the most incredible dining experiences you'll ever find in Oklahoma, you'll want to visit this little town and head to The Rock House. The restaurant is located in a rock farmhouse that was built in the 1920s, and you'll find it at 52060 Blackjack Ridge Dr., Talihina, OK 74571.
Sam and Tami Balzanna moved to Talihina just over a decade ago, and they own a 283-acre property here. It's been their dream to own and operate a restaurant, and that dream came true back in 2012. They've been serving amazing food with a smile ever since.
Every room in the farmhouse has been renovated and converted into a small, private dining room that can seat 10-12 people. The rural views from the farmhouse are beautiful.
Everything on the menu here is delicious, but it's the hand-cut rib-eye and New York strip steaks that have people driving to this farm from miles away.
Other noteworthy menu items include the pasta - chicken or shrimp Alfredo, spaghetti, jumbo stuffed shells, or spinach ravioli - and the New Zealand lamb chops.
Reservations are required at The Rock House, so give them a call at 918-567-3577 to reserve your table now. They're open Thursday through Sunday, starting at 4 p.m..
