Are you looking for an easy summer day trip for the whole family? Perhaps, in a beautiful Oklahoma State Park? If so, check out Robbers Cave State Park that offers lakes, outdoor recreation, cave exploring, mini golf, and even overnight accommodations if you’d like to extend your day trip.
Robbers Cave State Park is located in the scenic San Bois Mountains on Hwy 2 North in Wilburton, OK. It's an 8,246-acre park that is popular for hiking, rappelling, camping and everything outdoors.
There are plenty of places to go swimming and cool off in the park. With 189 combined lake acres between Lake Carlton, Lake Wayne Wallace, and Coon Creek, you'll have more than enough space to spread out and enjoy water activities.
Anyone up for some mini golf? If so, they have a course right there in the park. And you can grab some shaved ice before testing your putting skills on the greens.
You'll probably want to extend your day trip to a weekend getaway, so check out these cool places to stay overnight in the park. Below you'll see one of their yurts - a permanent round tent that offers the experience of camping but with modern conveniences.
