Shad’s Catfish Hole is a hidden dining gem tucked away in Sallisaw that serves some of the best fried catfish and hushpuppies in the midwest. The locals have been keeping this place a secret for years, but I think it’s time we spread the good news.
Shad's Catfish Hole is locally-owned in Sallisaw and is the kind of place where you go for amazing food and not the ambiance.

As you'll see on the menu board, they also serve frog legs and crab legs. They are open for business Wednesday through Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Meat eaters, don't fret. They also serve a tasty sirloin with a choice of side. Other menu items include salmon, trout, chicken, and fried or boiled shrimp.
Another great restaurant in Oklahoma that serves amazing catfish is McGeehee’s in Marietta. They have been in business for more than four decades, and very little has changed since they opened.
