Even though it’s winter in Oklahoma, we get plenty of gorgeous days that are perfect for hiking during this time of year. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is one of the best places in the state to try out those new hiking boots, and we found the perfect little trail for a short, sweet hike to get you on your way.
Jed Johnson Tower Trail is a 1.1-mile trail, out-and-back, that is lightly trafficked in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
It takes about an hour round-trip to enjoy the hike. There is a dirt path mixed with a little rocky terrain, but don't worry, it's not very difficult to navigate.
