Oklahoma is becoming wildly popular for its outdoor recreation. In fact, news sources say individuals are choosing to move to the Sooner State over other states because we have more variety in our landscape. Adding to the list of outdoor recreational spots we’ve previously featured, is the Oxley Nature Center in Tulsa. This 800-acre park is filled with trails, parks, an interpretive center, forests, and more. Keep scrolling to get more details on everything this nature center has to offer.
Oxley Nature Center is tucked away in northeastern Oklahoma in Mohawk Park at 6700 Mohawk Blvd. in Tulsa.
Not only will you enjoy stunning scenery but the wildlife you'll encounter is just as exquisite. There are over 38 species of mammals that call the nature center home.
There's always something going on at this nature center. From Botany and Butterfly Walks to Weekend Tours and Moon Walks, there's an activity for every age to participate in.
The leaves are beginning to change colors so right now is the perfect time of the year to visit if you're looking for a great place to view fall foliage.
As you explore the trails you'll make your way over bridges, across creeks, under canopies of trees, and through thick foliage. But every step you take will lead you somewhere magical.
It’s the perfect time of the year to visit Oxley Nature Center! And the best part is it’s FREE! For more information and to view more pictures, trail maps, hours, and more, visit their website here.
