If you’re looking for an outdoor adventure then Broken Bow is where you need to be. This small town is home to not only the most beautiful scenery in the state but there are outdoor activities around every corner. From zip lining and horseback riding to swincar tours and mining, there is so much to do in this Oklahoma town. And, if you’re asking what is a swincar, keep scrolling and we’ll show you!
First off, let me introduce you to Broken Bow, one of the most magical places in all of Oklahoma. This town is located in the southeastern portion of the state in the Ouachita Mountains where outdoor recreation abounds.
Rugaru Adventures is a local outfitter that offers zip lining and swincar tours. They. have excellent reviews and offer exclusive adventures you can't find anywhere else in the area.
But that's not all they offer. They just started offering swincar tours and we are obsessed. Swincars are electric all-terrain vehicles that will give you the ride of a lifetime. They are quiet so you can experience the stillness of nature without the loud noise of typical off-road vehicles.
On your tour, you will go off-roading for two miles in beautiful Beavers Bend State Park. They offer single or tandem vehicles and it's one of the coolest outdoor adventures we have experienced in a while.
Another fun adventure is a horseback ride through the woods. Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides offers a variety of rides for all ages and it's one of the best ways to see the local scenery.
Next, head over to the MAZE of Hochatown and find your way through a 29,000-square-foot wooden maze. The little ones can also mine for gems and it's another great way to spend some time outdoors in this fun town.
On top of all this adventure, Beavers Bend State Park is filled with nature and hiking trails. A new trail opened in 2019 that we think you would really like. It’s only 1.5-miles long and is just perfect for those looking for a little exercise that’s not too strenuous.
