Since 1987, Opening Night has been “the place” for families and friends to enjoy New Year’s Eve and kick off the New Year in style in Oklahoma. This year is no exception. On December 31, 2020, downtown Oklahoma City will be the setting for a reimagined variety of VIRTUAL entertainment to safely celebrate the beginning of a new year. All these events will be streamed online and completely free. Keep scrolling to get all the details on this celebration.
Tune in on December 31st at 7 pm to The Arts Council OKC’s Facebook page or YouTube channel and experience the magic from home. They are bringing the party to you this year. There will be numerous acts and uninterrupted entertainment all night leading up to the finale at midnight.
This New Year's celebration begins with a 5K run with a twist...register for the 5K, then anytime, anyplace between December 26 and December 31, run the 5K, log your time, and submit to potentially win a prize.
What New Year's Eve party would be complete without fireworks? This year's celebration will conclude with a fantastic fireworks show from the Chickasaw Ballpark.
