One of the best hiking trails in the state is the Narrows Trail in the beautiful Wichita Mountains. It’s not too long but it’s definitely a trail for experienced hikers due to the rugged terrain. Lace-up those hiking boots, fill up the Yetis, and head to these majestic mountains where you’ll find this gorgeous hike boasting epic views.
The Wichita Mountains are rocky promontories full of natural beauty and breathtaking views. It's home to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge – 59,000 spectacular acres full of free-roaming wildlife and epic hiking trails.
You can find the trailhead at the parking lot just past Lost Lake. Most of the trail is easy to navigate, so if you didn't want to climb boulders, you can still enjoy part of the hike.
You'll also get to experience the beauty of Cache Creek and enjoy lots of solitude on this hike. It's not a heavily trafficked trail, so you won't see very many people on your adventure.
Even though the hike isn't very long, plan on spending at least a few hours on the trail. It takes extra time to navigate the land and you'll want to spend some extra time enjoy the gorgeous scenery.
