On a hot, summer day, there’s nothing more refreshing than a cold, clear creek. The charming little town of Medicine Park has a creek that runs right through it, and you’re going to want to visit.
Medicine Park is a tiny community of fewer than 500 people, located in the southwestern part of the state.
The town is known as a cobblestone community because of the unique, round red granite cobblestones used in many of the buildings and structures here. You'll see charming cobblestone arches and walls all along the creek.
This swimming hole has been a popular place for locals and visitors alike to float, splash, and play since 1908. Residents swim here for free; visitors will pay $2 for a swimmer wristband.
Set up your beach towel and chairs in a shady spot on the shore, and spend all day here. The swimming hole is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m..
You'll find several benches where you can sit and enjoy the view. Whether you want to swim, fish, kayak, or just enjoy the scenery, Medicine Creek is the perfect place to spend a summer day.
