There are times when all that sounds good to eat is a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal like grandma used to make. Oklahoma is famous for its comfort food and one of the best places to get some is at Mary’s Grill. Located in Tonkawa, Mary’s Grill is the kind of place that immediately feels familiar as soon as you walk in. The menu is full of all the food you love like: chicken fried steak, chicken and waffles, french fries covered in white gravy, and much more.
Mary's Grill opened in 1955 and still serves many of the same delicious dishes they did when they started. Mary's is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is located in Tonkawa.
What could possibly feel more like a "home-cooked meal" than chicken fried steak with cream gravy? Mary's portion covers the whole plate; so bring your appetite.
Mary's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are in the mood for dinner, this open-face hot roast beef sandwich is something you cannot find in many places. The brown gravy makes it unlike anything else on the menu.
In Oklahoma, we’re fortunate to have a great selection of restaurants with delicious down-home cooking. In the small town of Barnsdall, there’s a tiny grill tucked inside a General Store that serves food as good as grandma’s. Hatfield’s Grill will never let you down with its excellent service and tasty food. Click here to read more.
