One of the most beautiful locations in the state is tucked away in the scenic Ozark hills of northeastern Oklahoma. Natural Falls State Park is a picturesque setting boasting a magnificent waterfall, lush greenery and scenic hiking trails. Check out this little slice of heaven right here in the Sooner State:
Natural Falls State Park is located on the Oklahoma/Arkansas border in West Siloam Springs, off Highway 412 West.
Hike Dripping Springs Trail to explore the main attraction in the park - a 77 ft. waterfall cascading into a pond below. The trail is a 0.9 mile loop that is accessible year-round.
If the scenery looks familiar, you might recall seeing it in the 1974 movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows." Several scenes were filmed in this heavenly location.
The dense forest that surrounds this mossy waterfall is completely breathtaking and worth a visit. It's the perfect spot to spend an afternoon enjoying the great outdoors.
